| Watching the formula 1 video below has reminded me of a idea I once had... Just wanting some input on it... I have, in the past thought about what it would take to build a VG for high revs. Above 10k rpm. What I came up with was reducing the stroke, replacing the valve assembly with lighter valves, solid lifters, stronger springs, replacing the cams with more aggressive profiled cams, eliminating the VTC gears to avoid failure due to the tougher springs, Etc The main problem I seen was reducing the stroke. For after market cranks there aren't many options. The only real options i've seen only add stroke length. I know this is a what if post but I would like some honest input and real thoughts on the subject. I know that the vg isn't the best platform to think about doing this to and probably will never attempt it due to cost. I'm just throwing a idea out there and seeing what the guru's have to say about it. I have thick skin so go ahead and say what ever...
